Millions of coffee sacks are produced each year and most of them end up in landfill. So we thought, why not make a unique eco gift out of them?

The colours and patterns of the sacks vary, so the peg bags do too. Each one is unique.

They are handmade in the UK and include a vintage wooden hanger.

Typically 30cm wide.

The coffee sacks come from all over the world. Countries like Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Brazil, Columbia and India. Many are stamped under the Fairtrade mark and many have interesting logos and patterns which are used in the peg bag designs wherever possible. They make a great eco gift.

The correct word for the sack material is burlap, which is used to transport all kinds of commodities, including salt, cotton and wool. 100 million burlap sacks are produced each year!

99% of the world's burlap is from the Indian sub continent, grown as jute around the Ganges delta. It is 100% natural and 100% compostable.
