We care passionately about the products we sell and the service we give. It is really important to us that you are delighted with your order.
Delivery
We make every effort to dispatch orders the same day. For orders received before midday this is usually not a problem. For orders received after midday, we will do our best but at busy times this cannot be guaranteed.
As soon as your order is dispatched you will receive email confirmation.
We offer two types of delivery to addresses on the UK mainland:
- Standard delivery. We have a charge for standard delivery of £4.90 for orders under £100. For orders over £100, delivery is free of charge. Our standard delivery is first class post for packages under 1.5kg and the Post Office Standard Parcel service for heavier items. First class post usually arrives the next day, but please allow 5 days for all items.
- Next day. If you really can’t wait that long, we use CityLink which guarantee next day delivery (excl weekends and bank holidays). For this we charge an additional £5. Please be aware that CityLink require a signature or instructions of where the package can be left, so please leave instructions in the space provided at the checkout.
We do include any delivery instructions you give us, but we cannot guarantee that these instructions will be followed.
For addresses that are not on the UK mainland such as the Isles of Scilly, Channel Isles, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, there may be a surcharge. Please call 01844 217060 for a quote or email help@henandhammock.co.uk.
Some of our products are shipped directly from the manufacturer and may use other couriers.
We assume that you would like to have all items in your order delivered together which keeps postage and packaging costs down. If you would rather receive your order in batches, uncheck the box 'please ship only as full order' on the delivery options page.
The delivery charges quoted are for delivery to UK mainland addresses. If you require delivery to other countries, please call for a quote, 01844 217060, or email us at help@henandhammock.co.uk.
You are welcome to collect your order if you live nearby, but please call first. So that you don't get charged for delivery, when you go to the checkout enter the code collect.

Packaging
In everything we do we strive to minimise our impact on the environment. We therefore re-use packaging material wherever possible. This will mean that from time to time your products will be packaged with a range of materials which may not always be as eco-friendly as we would like. However, we think it best to re-use as much as possible of the materials we receive so as to minimise our need for new packaging materials. The only packaging material we buy is recycled and biodegradable.
Returns
It is really important to us that you are delighted with your order. We care passionately about the products we sell and the service we give.
If for some reason you are not satisfied you should return the product to us within 7 days. Please include the delivery note and indicate if you would like a refund or a replacement.

Any refunds will be completed within 30 days of the goods being returned to us. We will refund the entire purchase price including the cost of postage.
Security
Protx is the company that processes our customer credit card payments. Protx is the largest independent Payment Service Provider in the UK providing secure online credit card and debit card payment solutions for thousands of online and mail order businesses.
All transaction information passed between Hen and Hammock and Protx is encrypted. We do not store any credit card information on our systems or at our premises. Out site is not SSL certified as secure, which is why we do not show an SSL padlock. This is because the point at which we collect senstivie information from you we hand over to Protx who have all the necessary security in place.
Whilst it is impossible for any web site to be completely impregnable to fraud, our system adheres to industry best practice and offers an excellent level of security that you can be confident with.
Privacy Pledge
We take your privacy very seriously and are committed to providing a shopping experience that respects your privacy.
When you make a purchase we need to collect certain information to fulfil your order. We do not sell, rent or disseminate this information to any third parties for marketing or any other purposes.
You can be confident that we will not disclose your details to anybody unless required by law to do so or unless you explicitly give us the authority to do so.
Our web site links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites.
Email marketing
We only send emails to addresses that have been supplied directly to us by customers and we always remove addresses from our address book when requested to do so by those customers.

We grant you a limited licence to access and make personal use of this web site, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it or any portion of it, except with the express written consent from us.
All content included on the web site, such as text, graphics, logos and images belong to us and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws.
FSC Wood
It is important to us that the wood in the products we sell is from sustainable forests that are responsibly managed. The best authority for monitoring this is the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). For our FSC approved products we provide the FSC with documention that shows the Chain of Custody. Our FSC ID code is FSC-GBR-866.
